The new Hazard Communication Standard adopted by OSHA provides new labeling requirements to align with the Global Harmonized System.
The steps to generate GHS labels are as follows:
Choose the GHS tab. Clicking the Print Label button brings up the options.
The following options will be given. From the Label Category drop-down, select GHS Shipping or GHS Workplace.
GHS Shipping labels are required for products leaving a facility. GHS Workplace labels are for internal workplace use. While GHS Shipping Labels have specific requirements outlined by OSHA, manufacturers have greater flexibility with what workplace labels may contain.
Select the desired formats and click OK.
A PDF file will be created containing the label. This file may be printed or saved for later use.
