Locations

Locations: Adding, Editing, Deleting, Moving, and Printing Location Tree

Click Locations from the top Toolbar, or under Admin, (or Admin, Location from the top toolbar) on the right side of the Dashboard.

Click New to create a new location.

Click Delete to delete the selected location.

Click Edit to edit an existing location record.

Click All to list all locations.

Click Search to open the Query Editor.

Click Sort to sort existing location records.

Click Send to send this file by e-mail.

Click Close to close the Location form.

 

Adding a Location

1. Click on Location where you want to add a new location.

If there is a plus sign to the left of any of the existing Locations, you can click on the + sign and drill down to the next level. Click <TOP> to add a top level Location.

2. Click New. The Edit Location screen will display.

3. Type the name of the new level in the Location Name field and any other necessary information.

4. Click Save. You will return to the Modify Locations screen.

5. Click Close to exit.

NOTE:

This information also displays when you are in the Inventory tab of a Product.

 

Editing a Location

1. Click on the Location you wish to edit.

If there is a plus sign to the left of any of the existing Locations, you can click on the + sign and drill down to the next level.

 

2. Click New or Edit. The Edit Location screen will display.

3. Edit the Location name, the Location Bar Code, who to contact in an emergency, how to store the material, Asset Information and Asset Name.

The Location Bar Code is for scanning and tracking stored material and relevant SDS information.

4. Click Hide from Web if web users should not see this location and related inventory.

5. Inventory review Date and Reviewed by are the last time inventory at this location was reviewed.

6. Click Save.

 

Deleting a Location

1. Click on the Location you wish to delete. You cannot delete any location that has sub-locations. If there is a plus sign to the left of any of the existing locations, you must click on the + sign and drill down to the lowest level.

2. Click DELETE.

 

3. Select Delete if you wish to continue or select Cancel.

NOTE:

The Location AND all related Inventory records are deleted.

4. Click Close to exit.

 

Moving Locations

1.Click on the Location you wish to move.

If there is a plus sign to the left of any of the existing locations, you can click on the + sign and drill down to the next level.

2.Drag the Location to move it from one position to another.

3.Click Close to exit.

 

Printing the Location Tree

1.Click Admin, Location, Location above to open Location window.

2.Select File, Print from the Main Menu and Select Print options window will open.

3.Select All Locations to print Location Tree for all locations.

4. Select Selected Locations to print Location Tree for selected locations.

5. Check Include has Inventory Flag check box to include only those locations with an Inventory Flag.

6. Check Inventory current as of check box to enter a date to include inventory from.
