The Document tab allows for importing/updating of SDS documents belonging to a Product record. Multiple documents may be added.

Click the Import button to begin.
Select the Import document from disk or the Web (PDF, HTML, TXT, Images) radio button.

4. Select your import Source
A.Internet
Internet
Prior to selecting to import from the Internet, you may use the web browser to locate an SDS. If you copy the URL of the SDS, it will automatically appear in the next step.
To add a document to the Product Record from the Internet, select Internet radio button from Import Source. A prompt will appear asking for a URL.

Click Download to complete the import.
Hard Disk
Select Hard Disk radio button from the Import Source.

Locate the SDS from the hard drive and click Open.
Scanning Device
Select the Scanning Device option.

The Scanning options window will appear.

Click View to view the highlighted document. (The EDIT button appears when either the selected Document is a Text or ANSI text).
Click Delete to delete the highlighted document.
Check the Show Archived check box to list SDS's that have been archived for this product.
Click Select to choose the appropriate Manufacturer or Supplier record from a list of all existing records.
Click View (to the right of the Company Name and Document Supplier fields) to view the record associated with the entry in the Manufacturer Name or Supplier field.
Check the No Auto Update check box to prevent this document from being included in any of SDSpro’s automatic update functions.
Check the WHMIS Document check box to indicate that this product is covered under WHMIS.
Check the GHS Document check box to indicate that this product is covered under GHS.
The Revision Date field displays the date the highlighted document was last revised.
In the Document Language field, Select the language in which the highlighted document is written.
In the Document Status field, Select whether the highlighted document is available or unavailable. If the Document Status is set as unavailable, this document will not be returned in search results.
The Classification field shows what kind of document is associated with the highlighted line item. The Classification field defaults to SDS but will show proper text if the attachment is a Site Map, Technical Data Sheet, or Data Sheet.
